This huge black megalodon tooth has a highly desirable black root and enamel - sometimes called "Carolina Black". It is unrepaired, unpolished, and the color is indicative of the fossilization process in what is now the waterways of the United States Southeastern Atlantic coast. Examples larger than 5 inches are incredibly rare.
Condition: Sharp serrations with one area of chipping to the periphery as well as minor chipping to the enamel. Root is well fossilized with minor fissures. Overall very good.
